Because of the media in the world that is today, it has become a very common thing for guys to want a bigger, larger, more massive penis. Having a small penis is just not acceptable. If you have a small member, you won't be able to please your partner, you'll be laughed at when taking showers in public places like the gym or sport club, you'll be mocked by your girlfriend's friends (that is, if your girlfriend is one of those people who tells her friends EVERYTHING of course...), you'll have a weak image of yourself and life will generally just plain suck.
